Night Out Report

Just got back from a night out to celebrate mine and Nick's birthdays. Me, Mel, Nick, Helen, and Eddie were there, but Mel and Nick had to go about 10pm. First we went to the Perkin and had some food (and a few drinks) - then on to Que Pasa for more drinks, and some dancing. Oh yeah. I've just come home though, because I was on the edge of being rather ill from possibly one too many drinks. Feeling a bit better now after some fresh air and a glass of water. Stupid Que Pasa. It's too smoky in there.

Living The Dream

I've got this week off work. It's sunny outside. I'm spending today with nadine and eating ice cream in a minute when i finish writing this. Yum.

Esporta Gym Membership

It was nice to hear this morning that Esporta Health Clubs were on Watchdog (BBC One) last night accused of refusing to cancel the gym memberships of sick people.

I'm wondering if they'll be more forgiving now, when I go to cancel mine because of being disabled. I've been trying for months to no avail.

Damned If You Do, Damned If You Don't

I was in town earlier today, at around lunchtime. Was feeling hungry so I bought a Burger King meal and, because it was really nice, sunny, and warm, I went to Vivary Park to sit down and eat it there. Whoodathunkit - within a minute of sitting down to eat, the sun went in and it started to snow! Argh!

Video Calling Saving A Relationship?

I miss Nadine (my girlfriend). I haven't seen her for a few days now, and it really sucks :( It's times like this that you realise how good mobiles that can do video calling actually are.

Trip to Asda

Just went off to Asda to do some shopping. Bought cheese, biscuits, smoothies, and mexican-style chicken fillets. Yummy :)

Cycling for Comic Relief

Today I'm at BBC Somerset Sound, interviewing people on the streets about what they've been doing for Red Nose Day, and getting people to do stupid stuff in aid of the cause. Take a re-listen - click here and then choose "Somersets Drive". One of the mad stunts going on was First Choice travel agents in the Old market Centre - they were cycling Lands End to John O' Groats in store on an excersise bike. I joined in and helped them with a mile or two...

Definition of "Tease"

I've got a nice big bottle of Cobra Beer sitting next to me. I'd drink it, except for I can't find a bottle opener. Aarrgrh!!!

Reflections Of The Day

Well. I was going to go to the cinema with Nadine lastnight except for that the 2-for-1 deal on tickets didn't work, so we went for a meal instead, then to a Madness tribute gig.

I've got the day off today. And tomorrow. I don't know if it's a good thing that I'm working saturday - on the downside it means I don't get the day off... but on the upside everyone's out buying stuff on saturdays, so I can earn lots of lovely commission. Hell yeah.

Pub Time - Tally Ho!

Right then. Time to head off to the Perkin (that's a pub for those who don't know) with Luke and Nadine for a few drinks. More info and all the goss later.

All The Ducks Are Swimming In The Water...

Today's Purchase

Seeing as my old freeview box was beginning to go funny, I've just gone to Currys and bought a new one - a Daewoo DSD-9520 with an 80GB hard drive in it for recording 40 hours of tv in it. Nice :)

Buy Some Walk'ears

Comic Relief is coming soon, and apart from an excuse to wear a silly nose all day, it's also a chance to wear big red ears too. I'm auctioning off a pair of official Walk'ears red Comic Relief ears, with a portion of the proceeds going to the charity.

Dinner at Nadine's Dads' House

Just been to dinner at Nadine's dad's house (photos here). Was a nice affair, loads of food (port, cheese and biscuits after - ooh posh!) and now I'm feeling like I ate too much. Oh, did I mention it was a late christmas dinner? There was christmas pudding and mince pies too. That'll be why I'm not feeling all that hungry right now then. At least I've got the day off work tomorrow.

Today's a really great day, It's really sunny outside (no, really sunny), and I've got the day off work. What more could you want?

It's the birthday special! First up... a happy birthday to Emily and Mandi! (No, they're not twins!) Nextly, with only two days to go until my birthday, I've worked out what I'm going to do at the weekend for it - a big celebration up in Coventry with Mandi and co. Sorted. :)
